Teen-to-Teen Peer Support

Suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth ages 10-24 (National Vital Statistics Report, 2019). CEI’s Teen-to-Teen Peer Support program provides tips to help schools implement procedures for recruiting youth, training peer supporters, and monitoring programs to improve students’ mental health.

Each month we will offer additional information and advice, including, tips for facilitating teen-to-teen support programs, and ideas for enhancing peer supports for youth who are most at-risk for depression, anxiety, and suicide.
