For Doctoral and Master’s Level Students
The Center for Educational Improvement (CEI) provides internship opportunities to doctoral and master’s level students completing university coursework in psychology, educational administration or policy, and other educational fields, including curriculum and instruction, special education, and elementary education. We also offer internships to others who desire the opportunity to gain experience working for a small education non-profit. Internships may be for 6 months-1 year for selected applicants who meet specific criteria and have needed experience and expertise. We provide writing and researching mentoring to interns.
Virtual and blended (onsite-remote) opportunities are available. To apply please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and include a resume, letter of request explaining your area(s) of interest, and two references.
We are currently seeking interns to assist with research in the following areas:
- Researching educational topics particularly related to childhood trauma, youth mental health, heart centered education, and neuroscience
- Working on our Childhood-Trauma Learning Collaborative
- Writing newsletter articles
Internships can be structured as year long or semester/quarterly opportunities. At the current time, most internships are unpaid; however, on occasion interns may receive a stipend for specific assignments, determined on a case by case basis. Interns receive a byline for blog-posts and articles they write.
We are particularly interested in virtual interns (8-10 hours a week) to advance CEI’s research, blogs, marketing, and use of social media.
