C-TLC Heart Centered Learning® Stipends for Schools

Stipends of $500, $1,000 and $1,500 will be made to schools in the New England area. Resource monies are to help with initiatives that create more compassionate school environments that are responsive to the needs of children and youth with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Project Requirements/Criteria:
• Schools must identify a Project Coordinator who is affiliated with a K-12 school in one of the six states that are a part of the Region 1 grouping: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

• Projects proposed must support a school-wide initiative and/or a school-based grade level activity (i.e. at least three classrooms or a grade level team).

• Projects must be conducted/implemented at a school site with at least seven (7) responses to the School Compassionate Culture Analytic Tool for Educators (S-CCATE) and in receipt of a school implementation report from the Center for Educational Improvement

• Projects must address at least one recommendation for professional development and intervention from the S-CCATE reports.

Funds may be used for: Professional development, materials and resources to increase community awareness or to enhance implementation of an ongoing initiative to cultivate compassionate school communities and combat trauma and stress.

If funds are used for one-time events or short-term projects, the potential impact on community and the intention of the event must be clearly outlined and described, with a brief summary of its success submitted after the event.

Your application will be deemed incomplete, and therefore ineligible for the selection process, without the submission of a letter of support.
