Viviana McKenney

Research Intern

Viviana McKenney, PsyD, is a bilingual mental health professional with a background in psychotherapy, culturally responsive health communication, and trauma-informed care. She has delivered evidence-based therapy, facilitated stress-management workshops, and provided psychological first aid to disaster survivors. Dr. McKenney holds a PsyD from California Southern University, where she defended her dissertation on the online radicalization of school shooters, and an MA in Legal and Forensic Psychology from the University of California, Irvine.

A certified RYT-200 yoga instructor, Dr. McKenney integrates mindfulness and somatic awareness into her work. She is currently transitioning into research and professional writing, bringing with her a deep foundation in clinical practice and a commitment to equity-centered, interdisciplinary approaches to mental health and wellness.
