Dana LaBranche

Director of Family and Behavioral Health Services

Dana LaBranche, MA, MEd, is a developmental and educational psychology researcher, author, educator, and family mental health advocate. Her work focuses on mindfulness, growth mindset, transformational leadership, trauma-informed practices, and family engagement. She has contributed her expertise to the Center for Educational Improvement, Yale University, the National Federation of Families, the New York City Department of Youth & Community Development, and schools across the United States and Japan. Dana currently serves as a parent educator and coach with Peace At Home, supporting families in fostering resilience and healthy relationships.

As a trauma-informed yoga instructor and neuroscience researcher, Dana is passionate about translating research into practical strategies that promote healing, well-being, and compassionate school communities. Her work explores how mindfulness and relationship-centered practices can support individuals affected by trauma, toxic stress, and mental health challenges. She is the co-author of Compassionate School Practices: Fostering Children’s Mental Health and Well-Being, which provides educators with evidence-based approaches to creating supportive, resilient learning environments.
