Laura Goldstein, LCMFT, is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 14 years of experience supporting families, couples, and individuals through evidence-based, trauma-informed care. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Montgomery County Counseling Center in Rockville, Maryland, where she leads a team of clinicians providing therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults navigating emotional and behavioral challenges. Laura is also a certified Gottman Couples Therapist and a trained DBT provider. In addition to her clinical practice, she offers supervision to emerging therapists, presents on topics related to mental health and family systems, and serves as a family law expert witness.
Laura is also the Founder and CEO of TheraCourses, LLC, an online platform offering accessible and engaging mental health e-courses. Her flagship program, Translating Teens: A Parent’s Guide to Adolescent Emotions and Behaviors, reflects her dedication to translating clinical expertise into practical strategies for families. She has been recognized by Washington Family Magazine and Business Rate for her outstanding work in the field, earning titles such as Best Family Therapist and Best Mental Health Service. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University and a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience from Franklin & Marshall College.
