Jenna Hua

Development Specialist

Jenna currently serves as a development specialist, where she provides strategic support to CEI’s fundraising and grant writing efforts. In her full-time role, she works as an education program specialist at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching to support policy, program, and communications efforts on key areas of work across the organization, particularly within Carnegie’s future of learning portfolio.

Passionate about transforming education systems to uplift culturally responsive forms of learning that center the whole student, her former experience includes that of an out-of-school-time youth worker and DEI facilitator. Prior to Carnegie, Jenna was a development associate at the Coalition for Asian American Children and Families and served as a research assistant on projects examining racial socialization and family-community engagement.

Jenna holds a bachelor’s in psychology and education studies from Wellesley College, where she graduated summa cum laude and was recognized by the Sigma Xi and Psi Chi honor societies for her undergraduate research.
