Director, Communications and Development
Ingrid is a nonprofit professional with more than 25 years of experience in fund development, communication, conference services, and membership and partnership development. Throughout her career, she has worked with organizations to develop the infrastructure to support programmatic goals and fundraising activities and strategically move beyond traditional fund development programs to more diverse revenue streams and to. In this capacity, Ingrid has improved operational management, established organization-wide best practices to strengthen and extend relationships, and developed and sustained capacity-building relationships with corporations, foundations, government, individual donors, the media, and nonprofit partners. As a fundraising professional, she has raised more than $40 million dollars supporting nonprofit organizations at national and local levels, including several individual acquisitions of $1 million.
Ingrid’s career has spanned national and local organizations. She served as the director of development and communications with the See Forever Foundation and Maya Angelou Schools from 2007 – 20012. In that role, she managed a portfolio of financial contributors at all levels – individuals, corporations, foundations, and government entities. In addition, she led the organization’s event management and communication platforms and, most notably, is credited with building the organization’s visibility and successfully re-branding the organization’s annual fundraiser with the school’s namesake, Dr. Maya Angelou. Previously, she served as the director of membership and affiliate relations with the Black Women’s Health Imperative and the director of the membership services division of the National Medical Association. Ingrid also had a distinguished tenure of service with the National League of Cities, Center for Public Affairs.
