Amy Huff, MEd

Research Associate

Amy Huff is a licensed mental health and career counselor with an M.Ed. in Counseling and Career Development from Colorado State University and a B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Washington. There is an immense need for mental health practices to infiltrate the classroom, doctor's office, community, and home life, and Amy is passionate about using her words to create research-based content that readers understand and are able to apply to their daily environment. An advocate for career development skills being implemented before the big "What do I do after high school?" question, she has presented and conducted workshops to audiences ranging from national conferences to high school classrooms. In addition, she seeks to expand her knowledge in clinical and counseling psychology in pursuing a doctorate. Her current research interest is children and adolescents and how their family life and environment can impact their mental health both negatively and positively. She hopes to be involved in prevention research, where she would have the opportunity to be with the community, bringing impact beyond the four walls of the counselor's office.
